Creating an app
Create a new app
Section titled “Create a new app”- In the team dashboard, go to Apps
- Click Create app
- Fill in the app name (e.g., “My Website”)
- Click Create
After creation, you’ll see the app details page with the widget key and settings.
App settings
Section titled “App settings”Allowed origins
Section titled “Allowed origins”Define which domains can load the widget. This prevents third parties from using your key on other sites.

Widget key
Section titled “Widget key”Each app has a unique key used to identify the widget. You’ll need it when installing.
Suggestion form
Section titled “Suggestion form”On the General tab of the app’s edit page, the Suggestion form section controls which fields show up when someone creates a suggestion:

| Show emotion | Shows the emotion picker (😍/😐/😞) on the new suggestion form. |
| Show category | Shows the category picker on the new suggestion form. |
These settings apply to both surfaces where end users create a suggestion: the widget installed on your site and the public board. Both fields are optional for the person suggesting.
