Team settings

Access settings via Settings in the sidebar menu.

  • Team name — the name displayed in the dashboard
  • Slug — the team’s URL (e.g., my-company). Can be changed, but old links will stop working
  • Public board — toggle that publishes your suggestion roadmap on a public page. See Public suggestion board
  • What’s New tab — independent toggle that adds a “What’s New” tab to the same public board, with the posts your team publishes. See What’s New

At the bottom of Settings > General you’ll find a different action depending on your role on the team: anyone who isn’t the owner sees Leave team, and the owner sees Delete team.

If you’re an admin, manager, or member (any role except owner), you can leave the team on your own, without depending on anyone else:

  1. At the bottom of Settings > General, click Leave team
  2. Confirm in the dialog that appears

You lose access to the team right away. No password or code needed, just a simple confirmation. If you want back in later, someone on the team needs to invite you again, see Team members.

The owner doesn’t have this option. Since the owner is the one who runs the team and pays for the subscription, leaving would leave the team without anyone responsible for either of those. If you’re the owner and want out, your options are to transfer ownership to someone else or delete the team, covered next.

Only the owner can delete a team, and the action is final: there’s no undo.

  1. At the bottom of Settings > General, click Delete team
  2. The dialog shows how many people will lose access and how many apps, suggestions, and tickets will be erased
  3. If the team has an active subscription, a notice shows how long it’s already paid for
  4. Type the team’s exact name
  5. Enter the confirmation code sent to your email
  6. Click Delete team

If the team had an active subscription, it’s also canceled right away, along with the deletion, and any paid days you haven’t used yet aren’t refunded. If several paid days are still left, consider canceling the subscription today and deleting the team once the paid period ends, so you get the full use of what you already paid for.

Some teams can’t be deleted:

  • Personal team — it’s required and can’t be deleted
  • If you’re not the owner — the option available to you is leaving the team, not deleting it
  • If it’s the only team you’re part of — join or create another team first, either by creating a new one or accepting an invite
