Managing suggestions

In the team dashboard, the Suggestions section shows all received suggestions. A search field is always visible at the top of the list, to search by title or description.

Next to the search field, the Filters button opens a panel with:

  • Status: multi-select, shows the suggestion count for each status and lets you combine more than one, for example New and Under Review at the same time
  • App: only appears when the team has more than one app registered
  • Category: only appears when categories have been created
  • Emotion: filters by positive, neutral, or negative suggestions

Each active filter appears as a tag below the search bar, with an X to remove it individually, and a Clear all link to remove all of them at once. The Filters button shows a badge with the total number of active filters.

Sorting (newest, most voted, or most commented) sits in a separate selector, to the right of the toolbar.

Next to the sort selector, a toggle switches between List and Board view.

In the board, each column represents a status and shows the suggestion count in it. If you filter by one or more specific statuses, only those columns appear; with a single status selected, the column takes up all the available width.

Each card shows the suggestion’s title, the pin icon (when applicable), emotion, category, vote and comment counts, and the time since creation. Clicking a card opens the suggestion’s detail page, just like in the list.

Drag a card to another column to change the suggestion’s status. You can only drop it in columns that represent a valid transition from the current status. See how voter notifications work in the Changing the status section below.

Clicking a suggestion shows all its details:

  • Full title and description
  • Current status
  • Author information
  • Change history

You can move a suggestion between available statuses to reflect progress, either from the list or by dragging its card on the board. See the Statuses page to understand each one.

From the list, when you confirm the change, Pliic asks whether to notify voters by email (checked by default). From the board, voter notification happens automatically when you drop the card. In both cases, the suggestion’s author always receives the status update email. See Email notifications for details.

If a suggestion is spam or irrelevant, you can delete it. This action is permanent.

Anyone with permission to moderate suggestions (the Manager, Admin, or Owner role) can link a suggestion to an existing task in an external project management tool. This is useful for tracking, in your development workflow, the work generated by a suggestion.

In the suggestion detail page, in the External task section, click Link task, choose the tool, and paste the task URL. The supported tools are:

  • ClickUp
  • Linear
  • GitHub Issues
  • Jira

The link appears as a badge with the tool’s icon in the suggestion detail page and as a count on the corresponding row in the list. A suggestion can have more than one linked task, even across different tools.

To remove a link, click the unlink icon next to the badge and confirm. This does not affect the task in the external tool, it only removes the reference inside Pliic.

When two suggestions are merged, external links from both are kept on the resulting suggestion.
